About the artist

Hello! Welcome to my website.

As a Bay Area native and resident and ardent fangirl of nature, I am endlessly inspired by my local adventures above and below sea level along California’s stunning coastline. Friedrich Nietzsche once said, “the essence of all beautiful art, all great art, is gratitude.”

As a self-taught artist, I started out as a kid who loved to draw. I started painting in 2018 using acrylic paint, and took my first oil painting class in 2023, and endeavor to hone my craft through research, trial and error, and more importantly, by just having fun with it. Areas of supporting study include color theory, water physics, and oceanography. Some of my favorite subjects are golden hour light, fanciful fruits and vegetables, odd sea creatures, and any angle of my awesome muse — the great Pacific Ocean.

Painters and artists whom I admire and have influenced me are Salvador Dali, Frederic Edwin Church, Dawnne McGeachy, Willard Dixon, Woody Gwyn, and countless others.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you enjoy seeing what I see by/on/in the sea. Please visit again soon for new artwork.
